In the Junior School we delight to welcome the young Year 1 girls entrusted to us, our little learners that embark on their journey of growth at the School with such joy and curiosity. As they progress along their path within our community, we strive to equip each individual learner with the right access to the key skills which make them lifelong learners. It is our pride and joy to watch them grow throughout the six scholastic years into independent learners after which time they then continue their formal education in the Senior School campus on the College grounds.
Our educators engage students through a broad, comprehensive curriculum which is designed for each child to grow academically, socially and emotionally within a healthy and wholesome environment. As St Madeleine Sophie Barat our foundress declared, “Education must be concerned not only with studies, but also with whatever may be required for the right ordering of life and requirements of a cultivated society.”
Our Catholic educational formation is a distinctive feature of education in the Junior School. It is part of each student’s holistic growth, not only for the student’s individual benefit but also for the common good of our community. We value each student and acknowledge their needs, giving each one the voice to express herself and discover her own worth. Fundamentally, it is our aim in these initial stages of our students’ education to ensure that their journey has a clear identified purpose, that being, the right access to their educational entitlement and a positively memorable and enjoyable educational experience. Our aspiration is that each student becomes a role model in her own right, enabled to bring about change for the greater good of our society.
