Our roots

The Society of the Sacred Heart was founded in Malta in August 1903. By this time, it was already well-established in Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand. A number of families in Malta had begun educating their children within Sacred Heart Schools in European countries such as at Trinita’ dei Monti, Rome; at Roehampton, London and at the Rue de Varenne, Paris. Therefore, it was only a matter of time before parents began to request a Sacred Heart school for their children’s education in Malta.

❤️✨ Today, the Sacred Heart College family came together to celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the very heart of our school community.

Our students gathered in the chapel to celebrate Mass, giving thanks for the love, compassion and hope that the Sacred Heart inspires in us each day. 🙏❤️

As part of the celebrations, the children also enjoyed a special ice-cream treat, adding a little extra joy to this special occasion. 🍦😊

As St Madeleine Sophie Barat reminded us:

"Let us draw all our strength from the Heart of Jesus."

May we continue to be guided by His love and strive to share that love with all those we meet. ❤️

Happy Feast to all!

🍊✨ Our Year 1 learners had a fantastic hands-on learning experience!

After visiting the fruit and vegetable truck and using real coins to buy fresh oranges from Shaun 💰🍊, the children returned to class to squeeze their own orange juice. 🍹

Along the way, they explored counting, weight and measurement, learned about whole and half oranges ➗, and discovered why oranges are a great source of Vitamin C. 💪🧡 To finish, they responsibly placed the orange peels in the organic bin. ♻️🌱

Learning has never tasted so good! 😊🍊
