College Facilities

The College is endowed with a fully equipped auditorium, five large halls, two gyms, copious outdoor sports facilities and extensive gardens.

Our roots

The Society of the Sacred Heart was founded in Malta in August 1903. By this time, it was already well-established in Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand. A number of families in Malta had begun educating their children within Sacred Heart Schools in European countries such as at Trinita’ dei Monti, Rome; at Roehampton, London and at the Rue de Varenne, Paris. Therefore, it was only a matter of time before parents began to request a Sacred Heart school for their children’s education in Malta.

Nine of our Year 10 students, together with Ms Josann Agius and Mr Andrei Xarb, departed yesterday for a pilgrimage to Lourdes. There, they will be joining a group from the Order of St John, dedicating their time to assisting and supporting sick patients throughout this meaningful journey.

This experience is not only an act of service, but also an opportunity for personal growth, compassion, and reflection. We are proud of their commitment to helping others and representing our school community with such generosity of spirit.

We wish them safe travels and a truly enriching experience.

🎉 Feast your eyes and relive the exciting moments from yesterday’s Field Day! It was a brilliant day filled with energy, enthusiasm, and smiles all around. 😊

A special thank you to Ms. Maya Parnis, our dedicated PE teacher, for organizing such a wonderful event. 👏

We also extend our gratitude to all the educators who helped make the day a success, and to the university students who supported us throughout. 🙌

Year 9 D&T students from Sacred Heart Secondary participated in a competition where they designed and made a contraption to safely carry an incandescent lightbulb from one point to another along a 17 m descending zip-line within a set time frame. The team managed to complete the longest full trip while keeping the lightbulb intact after landing, placing first in the challenge.

The event was organised by DTLC, within the Directorate of STEM and VET Programmes (DSVP), MEYR.

Super well done to all!

Today, a group of Year 7 students attended the celebration of Girls in ICT Day at the Grand Hotel Excelsior. Although the official day is observed on 23 April, the event provided students with an excellent opportunity to explore the world of digital technologies.
During the event, students participated in a number of engaging workshops, including CoderDojo, Vibe Coding, and Girls Shaping the Digital Future. These sessions allowed them to gain hands-on experience with coding and digital innovation.

The students also had the opportunity to speak with professionals from various digital sectors. Through these discussions, they learned more about the wide range of careers and opportunities available in the technology industry.

Such events encourage girls to explore future pathways in ICT and digital fields.
